Federal Authorities Uncover Plot to Attack Trump Birthday Celebration at White House

Federal court filings have unveiled the particulars of an alleged plot to target the UFC America 250 event held at the White House, where President Donald Trump, government officials, and dignitaries gathered to mark the president's 80th birthday. The conspiracy reportedly involved the deployment of explosive-laden drones alongside positioned snipers to execute a coordinated assault.

The FBI announced on Tuesday that the scheme had been prevented, with law enforcement sources indicating that five individuals were taken into custody as part of the investigation.

American media outlets identified two men from Southern California—Brian Rowe and Michael Thomas—as alleged participants in the conspiracy. In Ohio, Tyson Propper, 19 years old, was apprehended and charged with four counts, among them attempted murder of a federal officer and conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States.

According to an FBI agent's statement in court records, Propper acknowledged during questioning that he had coordinated with others to carry out a synchronized attack during the UFC event, which took place the previous Sunday at the White House to coincide with Trump's birthday milestone.

Investigation records indicate that the group initially connected through a TikTok chat before transitioning to the encrypted messaging platform Signal, where the attack was strategized in detail.

The court filings describe the intended operation: small drones carrying explosive payloads were to be launched over the venue to generate confusion and compel attendees to move toward designated locations. At those positions, snipers and armed personnel would be stationed to strike both general attendees and individuals identified as "high value" targets, including politicians and wealthy figures.

The investigation also revealed that participants discussed sniper placements, exit routes, and locations of safe houses intended for use following the attack. Authorities recovered substantial quantities of ammunition, specialized apparel, and tactical gear from Propper's residence during a search.

The FBI initiated its investigation following a report submitted by the suspect's mother, who raised alarms about his behavioral changes, recent statements, and acquisitions of weapons and military-grade equipment.

FBI Director Kash Patel stated that authorities successfully dismantled the entire plot before execution could occur, emphasizing that the operation was conducted jointly with the Department of Justice and law enforcement entities across multiple states.

Matt Quinn, Deputy Director of the U.S. Secret Service, characterized the identified threat as "dangerous," but noted that the event itself remained secure due to preventive actions and thorough investigative work.
